JOHN O’GROATS TO LAND’S END 2026
WALKING 4 HOPE CAMPAIGN WALK
Start Date: Friday 17th April 2026 – John O’Groats
Finish Date: Wednesday 3rd June 2026 – Land’s End
Distance: Approximately 1000 miles
Duration: 48 Days
THE MISSION
On 17th April 2026, John Bell and Graham Lynk will begin a journey across the UK to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention, while supporting the continued development of Walking 4 Hope.
This campaign is about reaching those who are struggling, bringing communities together, and promoting resilience, connection, and hope. It also supports the long-term goal of establishing a Walking 4 Hope basecamp in the Midlands to expand support for families and young people.
JOHN BELL AND GRAHAM LYNK
John Bell, founder of Walking 4 Hope, is a bereaved father and suicide survivor who has committed his life to supporting others through action, community, and lived experience.
Graham Lynk joins John for the full journey. Graham is also a bereaved father, having lost his son Sean, and has carried out powerful and inspiring work in suicide prevention.
Together, they walk side by side, carrying a shared message that no one should feel alone.
THE BATHTUB CHALLENGE
Throughout the journey, John will carry a 15kg bathtub across the full distance.
The bathtub represents the invisible weight carried by those living with mental health struggles, grief, trauma, and suicidal thoughts.
The bathtub carries names and memories of loved ones lost, alongside a memorial flag. John will walk dressed as Deadpool in honour of his son Jake.
Every mile is for those who feel they cannot continue.
